Steal the look of Elena Gilbert from The Vampire Diaries!
Hi dreamers,
after asking you on our FB page which makeup style from “The Vampire Diaries” you would have loved to see this week, today I am telling you how to recreate Elena Gilbert makeup!
I have to admit that I have noticed that since the beginning Elena’s makeup has always been pretty natural. I think that during the first seasons the authors wanted to show a teenage Elena very simple and natural and after they decided to change her fashion style (here you can see the evolution of Elena’s fashion style) and her hairstyle.
If you are looking for the make up of the other character of The Vampire Diaries you can check these posts: Caroline Forbes or Bonnie Bennet.
Elena Gilbert Makeup every day make up
Elena’s usual makeup is very easy (and quick) to recreate even for girls who are not makeup experts! For the eye make up you will only need a matte sand eyeshadow (that you will have to apply on your eyelid and then blend it into the crease) and a good mascara. Moreover do not forget to define your eyebrows with a good pencil and a brush! A pink-toned blush and a nude lipstick will complete this fresh and natural look.
This makeup below is really easy to recreate with only eye pencils and brushes! You will have to apply a black pencil near your upper lashes (draw a thin near the inner lid) and then you will have to blend in the outer lid creating a “V” shape to define the shape of tour own eyes. In the inner lid and under your eyebrow you can highlight your look with a creamy eye pencil like the one from Nabla (here there’s the swatch). Finally on your lips apply a bright color like orange, fuchsia or marsala to be even chicer! ;)
During events such as the masked ball, the beauty pageant in Mystic Falls or the Sixties party, Elena usually wears her typical total nude look (even her lips are always nude).
I have also noticed that she likes to “play” with her hair a lot! You can see from the pictures below that during these occasions she always has beautiful hairstyles which make her look even prettier than usual (if something like this is even possible)! :)
